Term Three · 2026

Create and Relate

Ten weeks of coming back to ourselves, and to each other.

For most of human history, creativity was never an extra. Song, dance, ritual and craft were woven into how people gathered, grieved and stayed well. Somewhere along the way we filed them under entertainment, a thing we do once the real work is done. This term begins from the opposite premise: that creative participation belongs alongside food, movement and sleep as part of how wellbeing is actually made. The key word is active. It is the making, the singing, the moving and the gathering that carry the benefit, not passive consumption, and participation is exactly what this term is built around.

Underneath it runs a quieter idea. We tend to imagine the self as sealed inside the skin, reaching out to others now and then. Many wisdom traditions describe it the other way around: that we are nodes in a web, and the web is what the self is made of. To create is to take part, to come back into relationship, with material, with each other, and with the larger whole we are always already part of. Creativity and connection turn out to be the same movement seen from two sides.

That is the thread we follow over the coming weeks. Each week a different guide opens a different way in. No experience needed. No framework to believe in. Just come as you are.

Creativity and Self Development

with Cheryl Roth

Most of us are creating all the time without noticing it, in our beliefs, our habits, the way we move through a day. This term begins by turning attention to that. Creativity is not a talent some people are given and others go without. It is one of the oldest ways we have of coming back to ourselves.

Roots and Reaching

with Julia Westwood

This week we turn the making inward. Through a guided creative exploration, we look at what happens when we reflect on ourselves not in words but through the forms of the natural world. There is something in a living thing, the way it roots, holds, and reaches, that shows us back to ourselves more honestly than a mirror ever could.

Into the Resonance

with Em Caunt

This week we set the making down and let something work on us instead. A sound immersion is not a performance to watch. It is a bath of vibration you lie back into, where the only task is to breathe and receive. Come as you are. You do not need to do anything at all.

Made Together

with Bethany Nero

This week we make with each other rather than beside each other. A shared, playful session where the work grows out of the room itself, passed between hands, built between people, no single author and no way to get it wrong. Something happens when we create together that never happens alone.

A Sound Journey

with Vanessa Fernandez and Nic Robertson of Stellar Sound

Earlier this term we lay back into sound and let it work on us. This week we return to that ground, and go further. Live voice, tuning forks, gongs and shamanic sound guide a journey designed to soften the nervous system and open the door back to creativity and to each other.

Creative Movement

with Cass Wallis of Movement Journey

This week we work with the oldest instrument we have, the body itself. A session exploring creativity through movement, joyful, unforced, and open to everyone. There are no steps to learn and nothing to get right. Just a room, some music, and the simple permission to move the way your body wants to.

Creativity and the Body's Ecology

with Dr Carolina Munoz

We are delighted to welcome back Dr Carolina Munoz, who goes deeper this term into the ecology of the body and the quiet conversation between creativity and the nervous system. What actually happens in us when we make, when we move, when we rest into sound? An evening where the science meets the felt sense.

Human Frequencies

with Lissa Williams of Human Frequencies

The practical follow up to Carolina's evening, and we do it with the most personal instrument we own: the voice. Vocal activation, breathwork, sound and group singing, exploring how voice and vibration move through the body and quiet the mind. You do not need to be a singer.

One Act of Fun

with Trudi Ross

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to simply play? Through theatre based games and playful interaction, we step outside the usual and rediscover the part of ourselves that never actually needed a stage. No acting, no pressure, no experience required. Leave a little lighter.

Mindful Creations

with Carolina Gonzalez

For our final session, we close the way we opened: making together. A gentle arc of meditation, ritual and creative practice. We settle the body, offer what we are ready to release to a shared water ritual, then turn toward what is quietly calling us in and bring it to life on paper.
